The best part is an outside panel of experts judges the awards, in order to raise the bar internally to meet external performance demands. Enrollment

Announcement of the Remarkable Awards is done 4 weeks in advance with an additional two weeks for reviewing submissions to identify the top quartile of applications for the final judging by a four-person panel. Seth Godin, author of The Purple Cow and other progressive books, is available as one of the judges for an additional fee. Here are two examples of award categories:

Remarkable Performance

Challenge the status quo and invent a new market, new service or a new way of working to drive growth. Whether entrepreneurial or just really clever and smart, this person knows how to drive performance beyond the targets.

Remarkable Learning

Get outside of the comfort zone. Too often in the business world we preserve and revere experience when we should be challenging it and renewing it. This individual went out and got some in-experience and discovered something new. The result was a new capability, a new skill or a new point-of-view about something that mattered.

Process

Round One: A one-page application process can be submitted by employees or for an employee. Think Remarkable will cut the applications down to a top tier of 20-30, depending on the number of award classifications.

Round Two: The Big Moo authors will evaluate the top tier applications and make selections founded on the criteria created between your organization and Think Remarkable.

Event

Three or four of the authors will attend the event and share their views as part of the reward and recognition ceremony to name the winners. An author panel discussion brings out stories and lessons learned on how companies become remarkable. The awardees are then honored within this setting, elevating their achievement to remarkable status. They are ceremoniously given a Purple Cow figure trophy acknowledging them as someone who truly stands out in their field.

The awards event typically takes place over 90 minutes. Photography or video can be arranged for corporate newsletter or web site purposes. We will work with you to make the awards part of a luncheon or dinner if that is desired.

INTERNAL MO-O-OING

To drive internal excitement, Think Remarkable will provide bright templates for announcements, web banners and signage to encourage participants to complete the easy, one page application. Bulk purchases of The Big Moo are available with custom covers to tie to the event.

DELIVERABLES

We do all of the work to make the event turnkey for you. All that we ask is for collaboration up front to prepare an outstanding event that is based on where you want to direct the organization and tie the recognition criteria to those areas of growth.

  • Exciting templates to announce the event and stimulate sign up
  • One page, simple entry form, collection site and process
  • Pre-judging of up to 100 entries. Your participation in judging is welcome but not required.
  • Panel members put on the full 90-minute event. Panel of judges travel to a New York location (proposal cost includes travel and fees). Seth Godin is an upcharge to the quoted rate.
  • Up to 10 coveted Purple Cow trophies. Additional trophies to be priced separately.
  • Winners announcement on Think Remarkable to announce the progressive work happening at your organization. Client approved content for release.
  • Additional elements to sustain remarkable thinking and action on a year-round basis is quoted separately. Examples would be in-house training, management of a remarkable web site for your organization and other custom programs. It is the ideal way to sustain the appetite for post-awards remarkable work.

You design the strategic focus of the awards program. We help you launch them. A panel of Big Moo authors serve as the judges, making the entry assessment external and objective.
